Is 'www' necessary?

Have you checked this? write www.google.com and google.com in your browser’s address bar, then hit Enter. Both will work. same as true for Yahoo!, WordPress.com and other leading sites. Again there are some sites which won’t work without ‘www‘, like www.buet.ac.bd will work but buet.ac.bd won’t work. So what’s the reason behind this? WWW [short

So after a long time, Fedora 9 (Sulphur) has been released. The version includes some must need features. Here is the list.. This release features GNOME 2.22. GNOME now includes a webcam photo and video creation utility called Cheese, improved network filesystem support, a new international clock applet, Google Calendar support and custom email labels
